Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course, accredited with Yoga Alliance, is at the forefront of courses delivered today. Our course integrates the ancient wisdom of yoga with today’s lifestyle, keeping it rich in tradition but totally relevant to today. We approach yoga from a medical perspective - with great focus on safety and alignment. You will learn to teach from your heart, deepen your personal practice, find great joy in sharing your love of yoga with others, and gain so much from your investment into your own health, well-being and peace of mind. Our Level 1 Teacher Training will see you develop a strong personal practice, and graduate as a confident teacher - one who teaches from the heart, with intelligence, integrity and passion. We are committed to developing strong, passionate teachers with a sound knowledge of Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Yogic philosophy and Anatomy and physiology from both a western and a traditional perspective. We develop teachers – teachers who live their yoga with a strong personal practice and commitment – not merely instructors. Whilst it is one thing to instruct (anyone can read out instructions or learn instructions off by heart!), the essence of teaching is to light the flame of knowledge and support the development of that flickering flame. We blend the essence of traditional yogic teaching with today’s contemporary lifestyle, without sacrificing any of the richness and beauty of the yoga tradition. We have partnered with the world renknown teacher and author team of Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews, from New York, to offer a unique Anatomy and Physiology course online. This means that you can study this subject in your own home at your own pace, and thus be prepared to apply this acquired knowledge to your asana and teaching practice right from day one of our Intensive in Fiji or in our 10 Month Program in Dubbo. Amy and Leslie bring anatomy to life, and present it from and experiential perspective. Rather than bones and muscles and terminology from a book, you will find yourself lying on the floor, doing some asana with your laptop nearby, and experiencing their message and thus assimilating it within. The dates for next year in Savu Savu will soon be announced. All tutorials will be scheduled in the amazing yoga space at Daku Resort, overlooking the palms and the sea. All tutorials are during school hours, making this a family friendly Yoga Teacher Training. Bring the whole family for a month that will shape your life! There will also be early morning practice, and some evenings of Satsung or Kirtan. In four weeks of eating, sleeping and breathing yoga, you will have absorbed the knowledge you need to put you in good stead to teach, or for your life in general. Training in Dubbo will take the format of one weekend workshop per month, spread over 10 months. A highlight of the Dubbo Course is BEGINNING with a SEVEN DAY RETREAT in SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA. Your training begins at your level of understanding of yoga - from a physical, mental and spiritual perspective, and we steadily build on from there, allowing you ample time to assimilate the practices into your daily life. Our 2013 Yoga Teacher Training students were being sort out in their home communities, even prior to completion of their course. They are now teaching in their home communities, spreading the message. Our style of yoga is accessible for everybody, and at every age. Our students range from two to eight nine years of age. This is what yoga is all about – reaching out to our communities and bringing yoga’s age old philosophy to a fresh new generation: body, mind and spirit.
