DV Sridhar & Radha Sridhar
Will teach us online, joining us from their home in Chennai. Sridhar will share his knowledge of the Yoga Sutras, and Radha will guide us in our introduction Vedic chanting. Sridhar and Radha have lifelong experience in teaching Yoga, specialising in Yoga Cikitsa, having trained with TKV Desikachar, and we are very humbled and blessed to have them teach us. Layananda is a Swami of the Dasnami order.
She lived in sannyasa for fifteen years under the guidance of Sri Satyandanda Saraswati at the Bihar School of Yoga.
You will hear more about this during your training, as the Bihar School of Yoga has been so diligent at documenting and publishing the practices of Hatha Yoga, spreading the goodness with the world.
Layananda has also studied counselling and was initiated in Tantric Tibetan Buddhism in 2002. She lives on the Mornington Peninsula, and teaches advanced students of Yoga and meditation.
Laya has travelled to Dubbo in the past, enduring bumpy plane trips, being locked out of her motel room in the middle of the night, and being whisked off to the Warrumbungles for Retreat. In 2026, we plan to have her join us regularly via zoom.
Thank God for zoom, as we could travel near and far and not find such a gem of a teacher as Laya. She has clear understanding of Yoga and wisdom that is relatable, and she shares with a humble and fiesty zest for living. Laya will guide our meditation via zoom.

Madi Simmons is a registered experienced Yoga teacher with Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance (USA).
Madi has been a student and teacher of traditional hatha Yoga for over 20 years.
She has trained exptensively in hatha Yoga in the tradition of Sivanananda and this is infused with training in the tradition of Krishnamarcharya through studies with Svatha Yoga and YogaTherapyInternational. Madi has been a member of the International Yoga Therapists Association for more than a decade.
Madi is always grateful that she has been blessed with authentic teachers - from her very first in Warren NSW, through to her current teachers in India.
