Tonkinese Cats
We live on a farm in western NSW, and our pets are part of the family. Our feline family enjoy a carefree life roaming the garden and sheds. They enjoy their daily stroll with me and are my loyal and fun loving companions.
We have always enjoyed breeding and rearing quality livestock, so when deciding on a cat family, we searched for a great looking cat, a good all rounder and easy to care for companion.
Our new families members needed to be:
healthy, independent and confident, fun loving and full of character, short haired and easy to care for.

Legend has it that the Siamese cat has been about since the time of Noah's Ark! They were born from an illegitimate affair between a handsome but bored monkey and a gracious lioness. This absolutely accounts for their unique character!
The seal point Siamese family has been long considered as Thai royal cats of the palace, whilst the choc point, now known as the Tonkinese family were the cats of the Temple.
Our Stud Prefix is Mandira, meaning Temple, and we are members of NSW Cat Fancier Association. We are ethical breeders, having bred quality livestock for over forty years.
Our cats are purrfectly affectionate and purrfect little cuddle cats as well as coming from pedigree background. When planning our breeding program we put first emphasis on TEMPERAMENT (we like our cats to be well adjusted, affectionate family members) hand in hand with TYPE (the intermediate body type that results from generations of Tonkinese to Tonkinese breeding). Our Tonkinese cats are all registered with NSWCFA, coming from dedicated, registered breeders and are the result of many years of labour and love.
